I'm just not sure what you are defining as "dirty." Were there ball shots? Were there chop blocks? Were there late hits? If so, why weren't the refs calling them?
I think the more likely scenario is that BYU defenses play very aggressively and physically, and opposing fans interpret that as "dirty."
