The truth is that Utah owns BYU right now. They have better coaching and better talent as evidenced by star ranking, NFL draftees, offers from other P5 programs, etc. Without a 4th and 18 conversion deep in their own territory, and two very fortunate overtime victories, BYU would have lost the last 12 games. They dominate the rivalry nearly as bad as BYU did in the 80's, and with them being admitted to the PAC, the gap will only open up. I continue to be amazed by the amount of BYU fans who are completely blind when it comes to the rivalry and BYU's place in this state. Instead of being mad, BYU fans play dumb and it frustrates me like crazy. There is no accountability for rivalry ineptitude. Fans just look the other way and it drives me nuts. So admitting that Utah would smoke BYU this year does not make me a bad fan...it makes me a good fan who is extremely frustrated with the state of the program, BYU's little brother status in this market, and the lack of P5 inclusion.
