Couple of tendencies I'm surprised opponents haven't picked up more on...
There are a few tendencies that the team has shown to this point that I'm surprised teams haven't picked up on (or they have and just aren't moving pre-snap). Kind of like a few years ago where, whenever Max Hall went under center is was a run off tackle.

1. Safety in the bump and run position pre snap. EVERY time we have a guy tight on the slot pre snap he's coming. Boggles my mind that teams aren't hitting that quick hitch or quick out with the slot. FSU murdered us on this in '09. The only time a DB lines up for bump and run is occasionally the boundary corner will do it. If it's ANYONE else, he's coming.

2. If we bring a receiver in motion, the play is going wide to the motion side. Surprised teams don't shift the backers strong side when motion happens. if Mitch Matthews is the motioning receiver, he has NOTHING to do with the play.

3. When Houk is in the slot, he's running a curl pattern looking for space.

4. If we have two slot receivers, they'll be running patterns to the sideline EVERY time to spread the linebackers and give Taysom a lane up the middle if it isn't there. VA did actually prep for this. Texas looked like they had NO idea what was going on.

5. This year we've seen quite a few more drag crosses from the receivers/TE's. Generally, backside receiver is running a slat every play.

Seems like Utah picks this stuff up every year.

You'd think Anae is prepping the offense for some wrinkles later in the year, but being that we've beaten the tougher teams on our schedule, I don't think he cares about predictability.
