Exactly, position and winning are just as important to the big programs as money

B1G got what they wanted, two middle of the road teams and some markets they weren't in that didn't really threaten any of the top teams or the middle of the road teams in that conference. The PAC10 and Big10 merger didn't happen because big teams like USC, Stanford, Texas and Oklahoma would then all be battling for one spot instead of the current two spots.
