Tell yourself whatever you want, but, as an employer I can tell you that...

the type of degree a candidate has, and where that degree came from matter a great deal in some fields. Believe me, if I were to interview two equally qualified prospective employees...one had a degree from BYU, and the other had a degree from MIT (and all their other credentials are similar) I'm hiring the guy from MIT.
