It's about the response more than the performance.
I know that there are unique challenges this year, and honestly I don't even expect to win all of these games. I DO however, want to listen to the coach after a tough game and have hope that the next one will be better because he'll change to make it so.

For the record I am NOT in the fire Bronco camp, and have been a very vocal supporter. This post was because I did not appreciate seeing the fans and the players called out (or even mentioned) in a less than optimal performance. That attitude is indicative of dysfunction and delusion. For a team in the situation this one is in, I hoped to hear Bronco say nothing except about how proud he was of the team, how sorry he was to the fans, and how he accepted personal responsibility to promote the change necessary to create a different outcome - because when you lose, change is necessary. As someone stated - a loss is a loss, who cares why - it's his job to accept that responsibility and try to create a different outcome. If the players didn't execute it's because the plan was flawed or the teaching wasn't sufficient. End of story.

I am in a very senior position at my company and success or failure in my group is my responsibility. Recognition of that responsibility is the first and most important step to improvement. Failure to recognize that responsibility is about the only reason that I have ever had to fire any management who works under me.

Simply put, I love this team and I want to hope that things can and will get better WITH Bronco. Last night was the first time I truly felt a loss of hope. I'm sure by the end of the week I'll be feeling slightly better and I guarantee I'll be in my seats cheering loudly (and listening to the idiotic sponsorship messages) for the final two home games. I just expected more from Bronco (who I greatly admire) and was deeply disappointed last night.
