Still waiting for an answer
I am not one to make excuses. BYU looked great in the first half Saturday and than fell apart for the second straight week because of a stupid turnover. It was pathetic and hard to watch. Coaches need to do better. Players need to prepare better. Players need to be mentally tougher, i.e. stop falling off the map because they lose a little momentum. Coaches need to coach them as such. Everyone was disappointing Friday night, except maybe Mitch Matthews who was about the only guy on the team who seemed to play mistake free.

Despite all of that, I am not resorting to firing Bronco. Why? Because I have yet to be given the answer as to what the alternative is. Who are we bringing in to replace him that is going to "fix it"? Who can change culture/systems/play-calling/recruiting or whatever else everyone seems to deem needs to be fixed? More importantly, who is out there that wants to come to BYU and do it? Andy Reid has never, to my knowledge, expressed any desire whatsoever to coach college football or back at BYU. Even if he did, is he really giving up that paycheck? Do we want the dumpster fire that is Norm Chow? Is Lavell coming out of retirement and magically resurrecting the program at 90? The point is, right now, Bronco is our best option. There are definitive changes that need to be made, but to jump on the "fire" band wagon when there is no good alternative is pointless.
