In BYU's case "who else is there" needs to be considered simply b/c it is such a difficult job to fill. Once you ask the "do we need change" and get the answer yes and that change is in coaching, don't you have to say "who is out there?" And if the answer is "no one", do you keep accepting 8 win seasons until you have the alternative or do you fire a guy and take a chance? I don't know, but I know I hate the "fire Bronco without a plan to move forward" idea. That is how you end up with back-to-back season of 2-10.
