I am a member of the coaches circle. This is the cougar club organization that is collecting funds to be able to pay the basketball and football head coaches more the the minuscule amount BYU offers. At the last meeting our Athletic director Tom Holmoe stated that we are close to collecting the amount of funds ($25,000 x 400 people) to begin the program. So, although they may have siphoned off some funds for signing bonuses (this was mentioned), I do not believe that any other funds are being used until the goal is reached. I do not believe $2,000,000 is any where near accurate. The total would be evaporated within a few years (if coach Rose is also being paid). Don't believe the internet, Bronco's salary is not public information.
