1979: 11-0 BYU loses to 7-4 Indiana
1980: 11-1 BYU needs miracle comeback including a Hail Mary to barely top 8-3 SMU
1981: 10-2 BYU clings to 2 pt victory over 8-2-1 Washington State
1982: 8-3 BYU is destroyed by 8-3 Ohio State
1983: With trick play in final seconds, 10-1 BYU comes from behind to beat 7-4 Missouri
1984: Late TD secures victory for 12-0 BYU over 6-5 Michigan and national title
That's actually not a bad record during those years when you dig into each and every one of those teams and games, but I guarantee there would have been epic CB meltdowns during every single one of them had CB been able to witness them live.
