I think most people look objectively at a place like BYU and wonder how

anyone could ever have winning records there. To see a guy producing consistent 8-5 seasons to them is impressive, and I assume they're flabbergasted that BYU fans expect to be consistently better than that. I'm not taking sides in that debate, but the people I talk to here in SEC/ACC country openly express their amazement at BYU's ability to produce football and basketball teams that are reasonably competitive, given its profile and its restrictions.
