I agree with you for the most part
The only thing, and it's not very different if different at all, is being ranked every year. I don't expect BYU football to be ranked every year, but I would expect us to be ranked in the top 25 4 out of 5 years. Given the players that we historically have, and that they are LDS, a lot of returned missionaries, etc. discipline should be a given at BYU. We should be the least penalized and most disciplined team year in and year out. This should also translate to execution of assignments, but none of this can happen if the coaches don't emphasize it. Instead we've created a culture of glorifying personal fouls and not being accountable for other stupid penalties and not being assignment sound. There are some personal fouls and penalties that I am ok with (Koroma throwing the defender of off Stewart) and some that will just happen for whatever reason. If we could be as disciplined as we should be we would be top 25 4 out of every 5 years. We have enough talent for that.

The rest of what you said I'm completely on board with.
