QB issues, some can be blamed on coaches, some can be blamed on injuries
It all comes back to the QB though. With a solid QB, BYU can win a lot of games.
The fact that people don't realize this is amazing to me.
I'm not defending the coaches (at least not completely), but some of it is just bad luck. EVERYONE here thought Heaps would be great. He sucks. Riley was not horrible when he was healthy, he got a decent amount of wins when he was. Taysom was young last year and had shown improvement to start this season, a lot of improvement.
QB play isn't a silver bullet, but it is the biggest single factor.
At any rate, what do you say about the seasons Lavell didn't win more than 8 games? QB issues too.
