I am 30 years old and just started saving for retirement. My previous job (first out of college) didn't have a 401k match - so I didn't contribute. My current job has a 4% match of my salary starting 30 days after employment. So I am putting 8% away for retirement now and will put more in when my student loans are paid off in 6 years. $100k at 6.8% is killing me, but making extra payments to get it paid off sooner.
