He made sure I got all the bases covered... a revocable will/trust, quality term life insurance, and because I was with him for a few years, I developed the discipline to have a certain amount taken out of my check monthly which was directly invested into funds we'd determined. He also had access to oil investments which were tax-kind. In the end, the investments weren't beating the S&P so I moved things from him.

I need to diversify into more bonds and real estate, just need a bit of guidance at an hourly rate.
