I don't like playing Savannah State at home on senior day, but I'm not sure that playing Wyoming, or UNLV, or most of the other MWC teams would be much more enjoyable. Please don't send us to Laramie in November, or New Mexico as the final game of the year, but then again, we wouldn't be able to watch them play anyway. The MWC had some great games, but how quickly we forget that we couldn't ever watch those games, even though they were on the invisible Mountain network. What a joke.

Someday maybe we will get into a P5 conference. Expansion will still occur, especially in view that the Big 10 is 14 teams, the SEC is 14, and the Pac 12 and ACC are both 12. Watch, there will be two major conferences left out of the playoffs this year (SEC - 2 teams; ACC - Florida State; Pac 12 - Oregon), and so the Big 10 and Big 12 will miss the playoffs. The Big 12 will miss it because of no CCG (Conference Championship Game) and the Big 10 because Ohio State won't leapfrog anybody, unless some upset occurs in the CCG. Some leagues may then want to expand to 14 and the Big 12 will need to get to 12 or 14 with a CCG, and the playoffs will need to be redone to include the top 8 teams, five conference champions and then three top rated, or at-large teams. With all of the money involved you just wait until two of the P5 miss the money, cats will howl and changes will come.

BYU just needs to be ready for either the Pac 12, maybe 14 or the Big 12 to get to 12 or 14. I sure hope it comes to pass. Go Cougars.
