He's a great man who has great vision of what BYU is, but he's not a great head football coach. It's as easy as that. 2/3 isn't bad, it's actually pretty good.
Here ars some other things I got out of the meeting:
•The fireside was great and uplifting. I would reccomend them to anyone, but especially the youth.
• Devon Blackmon really did get suspended for wearing an earing, he said so himself. He gave a great talk and I'm glad he's stuck with BYU. He had the audience in stitches with his talk and side comments.
•Bronco really does have a thing for guys with "grit". He told a story about Skye Povey and how Skye used to train with Bronco's brother. People who train with Bronco's brother either "pass out, puke, or quit". Bronco got a call from his brother who told him about this kid (Skye) who didn't quit and that Bronco should give him a chance.
•Paul Lasike plays the piano really well.
•Christian Stewart might be 6'0" and the Jurgens brothers 5'7" if they are wearing dress shoes with a decent size heel.
• Algie Brown is one bad man.
• A recruiting line Utah often uses is "you don't have to live the honor code if you go to the UofU".
• Winning is just as important as being promoters of the faith. Bronco stressed that.
•Alan Fua and LeBronson are very big men.
All in all I really respect Bronco and the young men that are part of the football program. It's because of them and nights like this that I chose to cheer for and support BYU.
