Is it too much to ask BM and BYU to drop the firesides and focus on football?
If firesides are so important, the church could fly a GA to every road game and they would still get great attendance. BM or TH could even attend a give a short speech if necessary, but players should be at the Hotel preparing for the game. LE never had firesides the night before games, and Coach Rose does not do this as well. BM and players can do firesides during the offseason as much as they want, but Bronco's main focus should be preparing himself, staff, and team for the game. We should never hear that "we were out coached and out played" as an excuse. When you are limited in your talent pool as BYU is, you have to make up for it with game preparation, effort, and discipline. I just do not see that on a consistent basis.
