if you only put 1/4 on the players I can see why you're so frustrated with the coaches. I've played a lot and coached a little and could never put anything less than half on the players. And this isn't the NFL where you get to draft who you want out of a pool of all the players and then get either blamed or praised for your evaluations and choices. This is college and byu where you are just trying to get the best players you can. It's not like we're turning down a bunch of top guys for other top guys and making evaluation mistakes on them. We are making good evaluations and convincing the best of who we can to come to Byu.

And the culture difference between the football world and corporate world is different enough to me that I stay away from comparisons between the two in general. A discussion on that came up on Inside the NFL on ESPN where Teddy B. and other players we're talking about how they dont like the comparison between a business manager or CEO and a football coach because it's so different culturally/behaviorally. Although certain aspects translate, certainly.
