Will Hollywood ever make a movie again that captures the quality and nostalgia
of some of the great movies of the past. Consider these movies:

Star Wars
Indiana Jones
Goonies
Back to the Future
ET
Better Off Dead
Big
Ghostbusters

I miss the days before CGI. Everything just looked better on screen. But also the dialogue was better, the chemistry between the actors, the story telling. It all seemed so much better. Maybe I'm just judging from my younger years. The only movie I remember watching in the past ten years that has even approached the same experience was the first 30 minutes of Super 8 before the dang monster showed up, then it got CGI and stupid.

Has there been anything else even close to these great flicks and is there any hope for the future, or are we doomed to watch 10 thousand more superhero movies and CGI barf fests like the Hobbit?
