Anything that is almost exactly like them? I will agree that the use of CGI is terribly overdone right now, but it can be done well--think of the recent Dawn of the Planet of the apes. Lots of CGI, but done so well that it is hardly noticeable, and then there is the Hobbit that is roll-your-eyes terrible.

Movies that are from the past 15 years or so that are awesome and that don't rely on CGI (that should fit your needs--unless you are looking for non-R rated). Still, some of these work:
