I have less angst about essential oils, "super foods", and the like because I think most are harmless (though largely a scam).

My stress comes from kids getting involved with drugs that do, in fact, cause well described pathology; yet society (including some Utah legislators) declines to vote for adequate regulatory oversight. If you're an adult, do what you want. If you're under 18, you shouldn't have to sift through deceptive marketing to avoid getting hurt.
