Don't need to, there's the D1A/Canterbury rankings
Of course, they don't rank BYU or Cal because USA Rugby is still miffed about BYU and Cal leaving their tournament for the Varsity Cup.
They rank other Varsity Cup teams like Air Force and Utah, so it's not like they are completely excluding VC teams. Just BYU and Cal.
