I thought I'd do my duty and pass along that a co-worker and big SDSU supporter told me he spoke with an unnamed person in the Aztec athletic department at a recent basketball game and that person brought up the possibility of BYU and SDSU joining the Big 12. Kind of came out of the blue, and it's likely just wishful thinking on San Diego's version of "the Hill." And CBers know what Big 12 rumors have been worth so far (nothing), but it was intriguing that this person at SDSU brought it up with booster, and made me wonder if it was just wishful thinking or if he knew something. Frankly BYU/SDSU doesn't sound like the right combo. Should be BYU/Boise State, or even BYU/Cincy. Frankly BYU to PAC-12 still makes more sense, but hey. Do I believe any of this? No, but we've gone too long without speculating.
