For most schools, the base TV deal is only about $1 million. While other schools will get bonus money, as well, the average is around $2 million per school for TV money -- so Boise is getting about double what the average MWC school receives and 4 times what the lowest paid school is likely getting.

Still, when you see those numbers, it helps people understand why BYU is doing much better being Independent -- especially as that $1 million minimum is allegedly about the same as what BYU gets from the WCC for non-football sports.
