All kinds of reasons this could happen. Not all 39 MCATs get accepted to

med school either. There is usually something in the person's application, often a lack of extracurriculars, or in the case of BYU, ecclesiastical red flags or otherwise. But I do think it'd be reasonable for BYU to give feedback on rejections, like medical schools do.
