To not blame them is to stick your head in the sand. Seriously In your own post
on one hand you say everyone should be aware of social media and has to use it..and then you cite how BYU has used it" Mangum is our next QB".. Whoops.. THAT would be stupid to say and if BYU has said such things then they are dufus's. Instead saying Mangum will be at BYU competing to be the next Great BYU QB,,,ir "Mangum, is excited to compete to show he is BYU's next great BYU QB" are much .. MUCH better ways of saying positive things about Mangum and NOT turning away any potential recruits. "Next Great BYU QB" is more important than any one BYU QB recruit. The position and those aspiring to take over it should be the emphasis and not pre anointing Jake Heaps..for example....

Doing that puts BYU in the position they are in. Allowing good QB's to transfer, to not sell the program is hurting BYU and that is all on coaches... Heck UTAH put a back up QB into the NFL. Lots of teams have done it. You sell competetion and that we are going to be good enough for our back ups to play. You ssell teh fact that QB's get hurt and point to the past and cite example of example after example of second string guys getting their shots and proving themselves because no one is immune from injury or sickness.

If you are a good enough coach. If you have a track record, and you have a good offensive system that puts guys into teh nfl..THAT helps too.
