I don't know about that. In High School (Texas 5A)

we had a pretty good team with some D1 athletes. The fastest 2-3 guys ran a 4.6, hand-timed. The next fastest guys ran a 4.7/4.8.

I believe 5.0 40 would be slightly above-average speed for a 30+-year old.

Bear in mind that the skills used in sprinting wane quite a bit when not in use.
