Dropped a 7 ton spool with a couple new guys where they shouldn't be when he was operating the equipment. They had to dive out of the way so they didn't get hit/crushed. He disregarded procedure then lied and threw another guy under the bus saying he told him to do what he was doing that way.
Probably would have kept his job if he didn't lie about it and had some remorse. I'm sure it didn't help with the way he operated at work. He was a cancer in the department. He loved the feud. He would pick out someone he decided not to like and find a reason (usually a very weak one) to mess with them. He would be passive aggressive or out right aggressive if when he thought he would get away with it. When called on it or if someone stood up to him, he would turn the tables and make out like he was the victim. He singled out quite a few guys with his crap over the years.
