He fits right in the group with Scott Johnson, Fowler, Uale, Steven Thomas, Tafuna, & others - the issues are due to decades of frustration of underwhelming talent at the DB position. Not that any of us have anything personal against these players, but if BYU really wants to compete with the big boys and pull off special seaons, you need better talent than Fowler or Povey. We get a few nice SS mixed in, but FS and DB have been players who get almost no looks in the NFL. And yes, if they don't even get looked at or barely looked at by the NFL, it mostly means that they were not very good college players, even if they lead the team in stats or when Bronco gushes over some of them.

I am sure they are all great guys, but I believe we have under recruited at the position, especially the FS position, relying way too often on walk-ons to make an impact.
