I think the biggest difference between PoVey and some of the others you mentioned is that Skye has some eye-popping athleticism (PoVey registered extremely high on the Wonderlic Test, posted the day's best vertical jump, 37 inches, and was around 4.5 in the 40) combined with a good football IQ.

The NFL is all about measurables and it's what gets a player a cup of coffee with the league when they don't have the required pedigree. PoVey certainly earned his cup of coffee, hopefully he gets it and makes the best of it.
