You might find this amusing:
before this series I took pride in the fact that the Royals had never been in a scuffle. No pitcher had thrown at a batter, no Royal batter had ever given the eye after getting beaned, no Royals had ever slid hard into a player. In fact I had only seen Ned Yost get tossed out of one game for arguing. The Royals were perfect gentlemen in my view.

Then this season the Royals kept getting hit at the plate I think they had been hit 12 times in 9 games. This because most of them were batting over .300. Some of them fastballs at the head. After a two run homer the next batter was Lorenzo Cain got plunked with a high fastball near the head. Our starting RF Rios got hit with an inside fastball breaking his hand...etc. I began to think they should do something about it...

Then the hard slide into Escobar. I was livid. I wanted revenge, but was quite sure nothing would happen. Then when the Royals retaliated, I took great pride in the fact that they were standing up for themselves and their teammates.

That's the way we do as fans.
