BYU Athletics has no debt, right?
I'm always impressed that (in my understanding) BYU doesn't take out debt to pay for building new facilities or investing in a new endeavor (aka BYUTV).

This is a huge expense long term off of the books of the athletic department. Just like in our personal lives, debt can be debilitating, especially if the purchase goes south.

It makes sense to me that BYU athletics seems to be more healthy than other institutions just on that reason alone. I think the BYU is likely pretty efficient with its money. The school overall pays its teachers (and coaches) less than other major schools.

Now, a question: Where does the income that BYU Athletics makes go toward? It makes sense that Football revenue has to go toward paying expenses of less profitable sports programs at the school. But does it also go towards saving up for new facilities (aka Basketball Practice Facility...)? Or does it just go to the BYU general fund?
