He used to drive for 4 hours every day and drank a ton of soda (Diet Dr. Pepper and Diet Coke). Every morning at 6AM you can hear the sound of a soda being opened in the kitchen. I grew up in CT, where you can recycle bottles for 5 cents a piece. My Dad opened a savings account for me as a kid and I would put the money from bottle returns into an account. We would go every few months and I would get $50. That's about 1000 bottles of soda. At one point I had $600 in that savings account. That's an expensive habit.
My Dad finally quit drinking caffeinated soda. He was in bed for 3 days. He had a fever, tremor, etc. He still drinks diet sprite and caffeine-free diet pepsi.
