But since BYU really didn't negotiate their last contract with ESPN, I would expect a higher dollar amount this time around. I do not see BYU not negotiating the next time.
When the contract with ESPN was first agreed upon, BYU desperately needed a TV partner - they still do. But it was more important to get a contract with viewership vs. haggling over dollars. But this time around, BYU can point to actual revenues and viewership ESPN has enjoyed jointly with BYU.
