I don't have the stats but...
I'd be surprised if a BYU game in college football season didn't beat out many of the other choices ESPN has. While a BYU game may not outperform the broadcast of many "bigger name," P5 teams, BYU has flexibility to provide ESPN inventory that will, I have to believe, with a broadly-located (mostly LDS) fanbase, perform pretty darned well. In other words, I think we provide significantly more value than most MWC games, many G5 and even P5 matchups, or the lumberjack telephone pole toss, if those are the alternatives. So my sense is we can make a good argument to ESPN that the partnership is really paying off, and hopefully we get a bigger cut to help compensate for being excluded from the CFP money. If we are making money for ESPN, we can argue we need more cash to continue to compete, and hopefully we make more in the new relationship.
