Something to think about:

We have those fans that always offer up the excuse for not getting into a P5 conference, that we refuse to play on Sundays and we will not
compromise our values just to get into a P5 conference.

I think those fans are missing two points. Maybe 1 or 2 times every 50 years, we MIGHT be asked to play on a Sunday. If that ever does happen, we could forfeit that game by not playing.

The bigger issue is that while we make such a big deal out of not playing football on Sunday, we lobby heavily and try our best to get as many of our players in the NFL, where they play every Sunday.

Those fans argue that the college players come from a Church owned school, but the NFL is not a Church owned education.

Using that rational, it would be okay to smoke, drink, and commit adultery if you do not do it on Church owned property, but it would be a sin if you do it on Church owned property.

I think that we need to think about what we say before we say it. Sometimes, I believe that it would be better not to say anything.
