I think at this point, UVU students are going to dislike BYU more for

NOT playing UVU, than if they just went ahead played them. Blood runs thicker than water. You're not going to make UVU students bigger fans of BYU than they are of their own school. To many UVU students/fans, it looks like BYU is just ducking them. BYU plays every other D-1 program in the state. There's no excuse not to play UVU.
