My passion for BYU football is not nearly as intense as it used to be. I very reluctantly renewed my season tickets this year, mainly to humor my wife who thinks going to games is a great date night for us. So I mainly did it as an excuse to hang out with my wife away from the kids. One more mediocre 8-5 season and I'm pretty sure I will not be renewing after this year. I'm tired of Bronco, I'm tired of mediocrity, tired of excuses, tired of team drama, of not being able to beat Utah, of not having a great quarterback since Max Hall, etc.

I fully expect us to go 8-5 again. There's a good chance our record will be even worse than that. Winning 7 or 8 games seems to be the new norm under the Bronco regime. I miss the days when I expected us to roll out of bed and win 10 or 11 games every year. Those were fun years. BYU really looked like a program on the rise. That was when my fandom and excitement was at an all-time high. I'm not sure what we are now, but I do know that it has had a negative effect on me as a fan.
