Look I like Bronco the man... he is a great man, far and away better than I'll ever be, but I do appreciate his example and I hope to follow it the best I can. And yes, there is simply no question he can coach just about anything far better than I can, but that's just not the point anymore.

The point is that we have seen this Bronco ride before... It's going to be full of losses are expected, and win or 2 that is unexpected, a loss that is totally unexpected and a loss where the team looks as if they are seeing a football game for the first time in their lives. And then at the end of the year, it will be full of what if's and but's... and hope for the next season... rinse and repeat.

The program has gone stale. Obviously the Crowton years were bad... then we had about 4 seasons of excitement and what appeared to be a real up tick in the program... then 2010... then 2011 vs Utah, then 2012 and Doman and Riley, then 2013... then 2014 which saw a promising season ran sacked with injuries and some of the worst defensive coaching D1 football has probably ever seen... and for the first time all my life of watching BYU football, which is well over 30 years now... I saw a BYU team flat out quit in a game in the 1st freaking qtr.

Then to top it off... Utah is starting to succeed in the PAC and USU is being projected, and yes it's a guess/darts being thrown type of guessing but still we are talking Utah freaking State here, in the Fiesta Bowl in freaking April.... and we see our fans getting geeked up about a possible Las Vegas bowl showdown with Utah, who we haven't beaten, truly beaten, since 1996 but haven't even won a game against since 2009. And for the record... iPads weren't even around in 2009, that's how long it's been.

I'm sorry to the optimists on the board, but I'm with Zach... my tank is empty. I just don't care anymore. I didn't really even know that we played Nebraska as our first game until a couple of months ago and that was only because I saw a Countdown to Nebraska commercial on BYUtv. I honestly couldn't tell you who we play next, unless I looked it up. I've never really been an NFL fan before, but I'm starting to lean this direction now. I love BYU, I'm just having a difficult time caring and it's become much easier to just forget about the program right now then to get excited about it.

Off my soapbox now... I'll put the blind fold on and wait for the firing squad to shoot me with comments like, "Why are you here on the board" or "Why don't you become a Ute fan if you don't like it" or "this is just the way BYU is now, typically followed up with go cheer for Utah or USU or whom ever." Fire away.
