Spurs are probably in the lead
But to completely right off phoenix's chances is naive. They've got everything LMA is looking for basketball wise.
Top notch defensive 5? Yes and a developing one off the bench as well
Good guards? Yep
Opportunity to be focal point of offense? Yep
Contender potential with him? Bledsoe-Knight-LMA-Chandler is a top 5 team in west
Potential for growth? Knight is 23, Bledsoe 25, Len 21. 3 extra first round picks

The only thing they don't got is close proximity to his family. Which could easily be the trump card, but you never know.

Spurs would be better next year, but Aldridge would play a lot of 5, which he doesn't like to play, and Duncan/ginobili/popovich are all probably gone in 1 year, maybe 2. Parker is on the downhill, is Kawhi/LMA a better core than Phoenix has to offer? I don't think so.

So while I am definitely biased as a Suns fan, I don't think it's a done deal he's going to the Spurs. Definitely more realistic than our dreams of lebron last offseason.
