This is the ultimate in data cherry picking. You take out LE's best years, but leave in Bronco's best years, and pretend they are the same.
LE won consistently for 30 years as a coach. Bronco had a good 5 years, and the past 5 years have been mediocre.
LE won a national title and had a Heisman winner. He guided great coaches like Mike Holmgren to Super Bowl glory. He coached great QBs like Steve Young and Jim McMahon to Super Bowl victories. BM can't even get his best athletes drafted, let alone become household names with Super Bowl rings.
Since Max Hall left, BYU's offense has been average and its defense has been inconsistent. BM's record has been bloated by playing some pretty bad teams the first couple of years of Indy. Even then, the team has posted 7-6 (last MWC year), 10-3 (first Indy), and then 3 years in a row of 8-5 seasons.
Let's see how well BM can navigate this year's schedule. Last year they managed 8-5 against a decent but not great schedule, including an embarrassing 4 game losing streak against 3 MWC teams and 1 AAC team.
