Men's sports always bring in more viewers in basketball, soccer, etc. This WWC was a rare exception, so it really does stink for them to not be better compensated for it. They certainly earned it.

What this WWC did is paved the way for future teams to make more $$$ now, because they proved the market is there. Advertisers will pay for that audience now, and that will get passed on to the players more. Next time.
