I thought you had found a way to do a clean install while salvaging the apps installed. The image disk is for back up reasons in case the clean install goes horribly wrong.
Hmmm...writing down all the programs currently installed and tracking down the media is going to be a task. However, it could be a good weekend task.
Since Windows 10, from what I've been reading, looks like its going to be pretty decent (I loaded it last night and let it install during the night so I haven't really played with it yet) and my previous 8.1 upgrade installation has caused some issues a clean install might make for a better long-term relationship between me and the OS.
