If the four 16 team super conferences does happen, and I'm less confident it
Will. The Pac 12 will immediately do all it can to lure the same 4 teams it wanted 4 years ago - UT, TT, OU and OSU. The big question is whether state legislatures in Tex and OK will allow their 2 schools to be split up. Texas prob will given that they let aTm go but Oklahoma is still a big hurdle. And then if the legislatures agree to the split, can the PAC 12 get UT and OK? They will possibly be fighting both the SEC and B1G for those 2 schools.

The other big thing is, even if you assume the PAC 12 could get those 4, who do the B1G, SEC and ACC go after to get them to 16? The B1G will prob want KU but do they want anyone else from Big 12? The ACC prob takes WVU but who else, maybe ND finally reads the handwriting on the wall. And who will the SEC want? OSU and Baylor?

There are a ton of possibilities and the college football world would quickly become 64 D1 teams with all the rest possibly having to go to a lower level with its own championship. And don't forget the Big 12 has its grant of rights clause for another 9 years. That's a lot of money if 8-10 teams move to another conference - about $200 mil minimum.

In the end, I think the Big 12 finally pulls their head out, expands and remains very viable with UT and OU remaining the kingpins. The other 8 schools will soon be screaming for this. Just my personal thoughts.
