Think about it...

Under your scenario, B12 called and offered. Tom listens to all discussions and say, give me till the end of the week and I'll reach out. B12 says okay...we'll talk later.

Tom picks up the phone, calls the Pac12 (doesn't hurt, you already have the B12 offer) and say okay....tell me Larry what you're thinking...

I think it would be smart for Tom to do that...so short answer "Yes"
