Or what happens when someone in the Pac gives word of our overture to a contact

in the Big 12? All of a sudden, we piss off the Big 12 showing that we really have no intent of helping to solidify the conference but are looking for an even greener pasture as soon as possible. Again, this is all a stupid hypothetical, but no, you don't risk killing the invite. You accept and commit to making your new conference home be as strong and solid as possible.
