I heard the entire interview
Listened to this during my commute, I think it was last Friday. It started out discussing the P12 but the whole segment really digressed into a discussion about the fate of the B12.

This Jake Trotter actually is a sports writer who covers the Big10. He sounded knowledgeable and was really quite articulate. He admitted he knows nothing about what the Big12 might do or not do.

His opinion was that if the Big12 wants to survive then it's inevitable that they expand (although his stated timeframe was within the next 3-5 years, which didn't really make sense). Trotter thought that the B12 was most likely to expand east, but he was clear that to him, BYU and BSU absolutely made the most sense. It was just his opinion.

There was also some talk about how far it was from Provo to Morgantown. 1,930 miles. Like that distance was some kind of showstopper. Somebody said it's easier to get to Japan than Provo. That part was stupid, but it was the radio hosts and not Trotter who chimed in on that.

Anyway it was interesting to hear this on a quasi-national radio program. But it doesn't constitute real news other than there are people who think BYU would be the best fit for an expanded B12.
