As your experience and perspective change so does your reaction......
It used to bug me a lot after a loss, especially to Utah. Living in Salt Lake makes the Ute losses especially hard to deal with as you hear about it for at least the following year. How is is seven out of the last 10 and with the PAC 12 happening it is brutal in the office..... I digress.....

Now that BYU is an independent it has actually been easier after losses than when they were in a conference. Conference games meant something and they were a measurement against TCU, Utah, Colorado State, etc. Now with just one loss there really isn't anything to get frustrated about as there is not a lot to really hope for moving forward. There certainly isn't anything we can take from a loss other than it was another loss and it is a matter of playing out the string of games.

Age has tempered me as well. The older I get, the less important sports has become overall in my life. More important things to worry about with family.
