It's just a game, man. I enjoy it when BYU wins, and I allow myself to be...
momentarily bummed when they lose, but, at the end of the day it just doesn't matter. Certainly not enough to take it out on those I love, anyway.

It's getting tougher and tougher for me to justify spending the time to even watch a BYU football game, much less get bent out of shape over the results. College football has become a sham...I would be completely over it if it weren't for BYU.

I decided one Saturday a couple years ago to do the unthinkable...skip a BYU football game and go canoeing with my wife and little girl. The weather was amazing, the fall colors were stunning, the water was like glass, and we were the only boat on the lake. It was the best day I'd had in years. I had forgotten what an incredible time of year Fall was to be outdoors. Since then, I have taken my Fall weekends back. I only watch away games on DVR, and only if I think its worth watching. I only attend home games at LES if I'm interested in the matchup. Otherwise, I'm in the mountains, or hanging out at my wife's ranch during the fall. Unfortunately, I'll never get the time I spent obsessing about BYU/college football back.
